Vietnam’s northern mountain ranges are breathtakingly beautiful, rich in cultural diversity and great fun to explore. Travel along roads snaking through high passes and through fertile valleys, see incredible rice terraces, visit colourful hill tribe markets and check out some of the areas historic sites.





DAY 1 - HA NOI - SON LA (B,L)

Depart early at 0700 for Son La, a province in the Northwest of Vietnam. En route enjoy the interesting change from the flat roads of the Red River Delta to the picturesque roads with the limestone karst of the mountainous regions. It is around 6 -hour driving and Approximately 320 km journey then you may have some rest stop on the way then Arrive in Son La in the late afternoon. At leisure to walk around the area . Overnight in Son La.


DAY 2 - SON LA - DIEN BIEN PHU (B,L)

Breakfast then depart at 0800 to Dien Bien Phu. Drive through the spectacular pass then arrive to Dien Bien Phu valley after around 4 hours. Visit the Army Museum and the the historic battlefield between French and Vietnamese forces in 1946. top in the famous 'A1 Hill' where the fiercest fighting happened. Drive to the town for hotel check-in. The rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight in Dien Bien Phu.


DAY 3 - DIEN BIEN PHU - (NEW) MUONG LAY (B,L)

This morning, start your tour at 0800 by a 5-hour drive to Muong Lay ( formely Lai Chau), the home of some most colourful hill tribes of the country, a remote town of stunning scenery. Explore the area and stop at the captivating scenery for your photograph. Overnight in Muong Lay.


DAY 4 - (NEW) MUONG LAY - TAM DUONG - SA PA (B,L)

Breakfast then leave for Sapa by a drive of around 3 hours (110 km). This may be the most beautiful journey as the scenery is magnificent. The lush valley, tapestry mountain and the terraced rice fields give you a feast of natural beauty. Arrival in Sapa in the late afternoon. Walk around to explore this lovely town. Overnight in Sapa.


DAY 5 - SA PA - LAO CAI - HA NOI (B,L)

Breakfast then have a leisure day with your private guide who is available for your optional day with the visit to the local market or take a light trek to discover Sapa's quaint hill tribe villages set against the stunning Hoang Lien Son Mountain Range and Indochina's highest peak, Mt. Fansipan. A picnic lunch will be served en-route. In the aftertoon, transfer to Lao Cai for the night train to Hanoi. Overnight on the train.


DAY 6 - HA NOI (B)

Arrive in Hanoi in early morning, transfer to hotel for refreshment and a buffet breakfast before transferring to your next site in Hanoi
