Arrive in Ho Chi Minh city. Meet your guide at the airport then transfer to your hotel (check in time is from 14.00pm/ early check in is subject on availability & surcharge).
Today, you will come to visit a place away from the well trodden tourist path, a genuine insight into a Vietnamese kitchen. Depart from your hotel with the host to go to a local market to shop for ingredients then go to her house to start your cooking. Your host is a great cook and more than happy to go with you around their local market and tell you their favourite dishes. You are free to choose the menu to cook the savour your lunch with what you prepared. In the afternoon, visit FITO Museum, Vietnam's first traditional medicine museum where an amazing collection of 3,000 items relevant to the development of traditional Vietnamese medicine displayed. Implements for preparing indigenous herbs and objects commonly found in traditional pharmacies were showcased in the galleries. You can also find here the ancient books and documents on traditional Vietnamese medicine.
At the end of the day, come to a private home where you will enjoy a traditional music show then stop at the well-know Fanny's ice cream with a refreshing snack. Return to your hotel and at leisure until the dinner at the stunning renovated Temple Club where the atmostphere takes you back to the Indochina 1930's. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh city.

Have an early wake up day and transfer to Tao Dan Park to catch the bird lover club where men gathering every morning to show their birds and talk about the way of taking care birds in Saigon. Enjoy the local coffee while your guide will tell you about the history and the way how local people take care of their birds
The next stop is the monument of Thich Quang Duc, a Vietnamese Mahayana Buddhist monk who burned himself to death on June 11, 1963 to protest against the persecution of Buddhists by South Vietnam’s Ngo Dinh Diem administration.
Then head to Cho Lon, the area of local wholesaler markets. En route, stop at the colourful Ho Thi Ky flower market then visit the Funeral Home to get to know about Vietnamese funeral ceremonies & customs.
Continue with the short walk through the narrow street of Soai Kinh Lam, where people sell a huge variety of tailor's materials. Visit the Hai Thuong Lan Ong street well-known for medicinal herbs. Leaving Cho Lon, visit Phu My Hung residential area which is a new standard for residence in Vietnam. Head back to downtown area for the colonial vernacular with the Saigon Opera House, City Hall, and The General Saigon Post Office.
In the afternoon, take a stroll to the oldest quarter of the city (car is always at your disposal ). Explore Le Cong Kieu street where you find several antique items, the genuine ones are mixed in with the genuine fakes: Aladdin oil lamps, carved wooden chests, Marelli copper fans, opium pipes, abacuses, etc. You can also find military cast-offs from the Vietnam War, and if you look hard enough, relics from the French Indochina era. Just 1-minute walk from the antique shops is the Fine Art Museum which is in a superb neo-colonial building home to various modern arts. Explore the art galleries surrounding the museum, where local artists gladly display their talent.
