Artisans Angkor is renowned as one of the finest silk producers in Cambodia. The company has 23 silk workshops in the Siem Reap province. One site only is open to the public: the Angkor Silk Farm in Puok district (about 20-minute drive from the center of Siem Reap). Artisans specializing in silk are still trained by a unit of the CEFP called the “National Silk Centre” where the Angkor Silk Farm is located.
In the morning, start the tour to visit the South Gate of Angkor Thom, and then go to Angkor Thom Complex which was built by Angkor’s greatest king, Jayavaman VII. The major attraction of Angkor Thom is the Bayon, whose exact function and symbolism is still unknown until now. Then, visit Baphoun which is one of the most spectacular of Angkor’s temples in its heyday. Visit the Terrace of the Elephants which was used as a giant reviewing stand for public ceremonies and served as a base for the king’s grand audience hall. Visit The Terrace of the Leper King is another of Angkor’s mysteries. Lunch will be provided at local restaurant. In the Afternoon, visit the World Heritage which is well known as Angkor Wat, which is one of the most important archaeological sites in South-East Asia. Angkor Wat stretch over some 400 sq. km., including forested area, Angkor Archaeological Park contains the magnificent remains of the different capitals of the Khmer Empire. In the evening view sunset at Phnom Bakheng Hill.
