Starting from Ho Chi Minh City, your Vietnam tour begins with a short drive south, leaving the city behind and entering the rural landscapes of the Mekong Delta. Passing motorbikes piled high with goods, large water buffalos working in the fields and school children cycling to school, your kids will be entertained by the endlessly entertaining scenery.
A cruise through the Mekong Delta is a must for any Vietnam tour and for your family a special overnight trip is sure to delight. You'll board a fabulous wooden riverboat and cruise through the winding canals of the Delta, stopping to visit riverside villages. As the evening approaches, the boat will moor and a delicious dinner will be served before retiring to your air conditioned cabins.
Continue to explore the waterways with a morning boat ride through the bustling floating Cai Rang market, where vendors line up their boats to sell their produce. Then it's time to explore on land with a bike ride through farming villages and small laneways. You can stop as often as you like and are certain to meet lots of friendly locals.

Today is a day for the river exploring in Mekong Delta. Early start to leave bustling Ho Chi Minh for the 2 hour drive to Cai Be. The colorful floating market with local traditional wooden boats , vast emerald rice fields and lush back waterways are the things that make Cai Be such a desired destination not only for aldults but also for kids.
Arrive in Cai Be at noon, then get on the Bassac cruise. Have a welcome drink while an introduction to the ship and crew will be made . Cruise on Tien Giang River towards Cho Lach, En route, savour your lunch with local food on the upper deck. While the ship reaches to Cho Lach, transfer to the smaller wooden boat to cruise to Cho Lach Canals watching the traffic of sand and rice barges on the waterways. There're plenty of opportunities for taking the fantastic photos on the waterways your ship passing by.
Stop to visit a village on the banks of Mang Thit River, where the simple life here with a very limited condition of facility can be a good chance for your kids to revaluate what they have in present. Visit an orchard or rice fields nearby. Back on board the Bassac and enjoy a complimentary drink and enjoy the sunset on the magnificant Mekong river. Enjoy the sunrise on the riverwaterways and savour your delicious breakfast at 6:30 whilst the boat cruises to Tra On floating market then head towards Can Tho. Upon arrival check out Bassac cruise and transfer onto a local wooden boat to visit the colourful Cai Rang floating market. Here, during the early morning market hours, the big wholesaler boats anchor and create lanes for the smaller boats weave in and out of. The major of items sold here are vegetable and fruits. On each boat, a long bamboo pole uprights at the front of boat, hung on the samples of the goods for sale. On the waterway, a maze of hundreds of boats piled up with papaya, pineapple, mango,pomelo... There is also the noodle shop vendor on the boats where you can taste even the Vietnamese baguette or Pho ... Disembark and and have lunch in Can Tho city.
In the afternoon, pedal around the quiet village lanes and shadowed paths of Can Tho. Cycling is the perfect way to discover the countryside with your family. The route are flat and ride to the amazing sites such as cottage houses, farm harvesting or rice planting, hidden temples and lots of friendly locals who say hello with you on the way. Then, transfer to a small but nice decorated guest house in Can Tho for your overnight stay. Overnight in Can Tho.
Breakfast then take a 4-hour drive back to Ho Chi Minh City by car. Stop en route for lunch.
Upon arrive in Ho Chi Minh City you will be transferred to the airport for your onward flight or to a hotel in the city.
