Cai Be is an interesting place to experience not only because of its colourful traditional floating market but also because of its fertilized paddy fiels and lush back waterways. Early morning start from HoChi minh city, head to Mekong Delta for 2 hour drive, arrive Cai Be, get on a local boat then cruise to explore the floating Market where you can witness the unique way of advertising : product for sale is hung on a pole in front of boats to attract customers and make it easier for people to see from afar what is on offer.
After visiting the floating market continue to a cottage factory where ‘pop-rice’, rice paper and coconut candies are made. Then cruise to Dong Hoa Hiep Island, admiring the scenery and the daily life of the local villagers along the way. Lunch is typical Mekong style serving specialties of the area. This morning, Wake up early to discover the most exciting floating market of the area - Cai Rang floating market which bustles with wholesalers on big boats. During the early morning market hours, larger sized boats anchor and create lanes that smaller boats weave in and out of. Fruit and vegetables are main item sold here, as in Cai Be floating market, every boat has a long upright pole at its bow from which samples of the goods for sale are hung. Enjoy your time in a maze of hundreds of boats packed with mango, bananas, papaya, pineapple, and even floating Vietnamese Noodle, or Baguette vendors.
Return to your hotel for breakfast then at leisure
In the afternoon, cyling around the city of Can Tho , through the quiet lanes , or small farms harvesting or planting rice, hidden temples and lots of friendly locals who will come out to greet you.

Breakfast at hotel then depart for the 3-hour drive to Chau Doc. On arrival take a boat to a small mosque of the local Cham community with its distinctive architecture. Here you have opportunityto see the local people weave silk, then visit a beautiful Khmer temple and visits floating houses that works as catfish farms, now a huge industry for the country.The rest of the day is at leisure
