This tour give the chances for experiencing food, agriculture, culture and history of Vietnam in one day. You will visit the rural area 35 km away from city, visit an organic farm, try to be a local farmer and learn some cooking skills with hands on experience with a Master Chef in your private Vietnamese cooking class. Following the cooking class is the visit to amazing historical site of the Cu Chi Tunnels.
In the morning, our guide will pick you up at hotel lobby then depart to Cu Chi area, 35 kilometers from the city. Arrive at HCM Agricultural Villages, an area of over 70,000 square meters.
Start your exploring in this peaceful countryside area. The Master chef will handle you a hat then lead you around the farm where you will see different animals such as cows, buffalo, chicken, duck, fish and shrimp. You also visit the vegetable farm where many various types of herbs, spices, vegetables are growing and you will learn how local people use it in their life as food and medicine. The chef will demonstrate for you how to make the mushrooms and you will have chance to practise to be a real farmer. Hat, bamboo bastket, scissors will be given to you and you will collect all vegetable that used for your cooking later on. Your cooking class is lead by Master Chef who has amazing cooking skills and great knowledge about healthy foods and will instruct you step by step how to make nice simple, healthy and delicious food. Your cooking class is at very hands on and that’s your challenge to practise.
When you cooking class finished, you will get a certificate of completion as well as recipes.
Leave the cooking class, transfer to a rubber tree forest where you will smell and see the fresh latex of rubber trees. Our guide will introduce about the benefits that rubber trees bring for us while your are getting to the must- see of Ho Chi Minh city which is called "Cu chi Tunnels" where more then 200 kilometers underground tunnels were digged during the war time. In that amazing underground tunnels, You will have chance to discover the hospital, meeting hall, kitchen, classroom… and learn how the Vietnamese guerrilla live there in many years to protect themselve from the bombs and struggle with their ennemies. After the tour in Cu Chi tunnels, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Saigon.
